Normal text like this is either Fef’s narration, or if she’s by herself, her dialogue. If there’s ever a time when she’s using narration AND dialogue at the same time…
Her bubbles are pink.
Glowing text, or white-text is generally used for more reflective comics, or specifically because she’s dead, and it echoes the glow she has in the dreambubbles.
Also interesting to note, when I did Human Week, Feferi used her quirks in thought/narration, but didn’t in dialogue. This was supposed to show she was still a troll at heart, though spoke like a human, as she was raised.

Hmm. Interesting! No, I can dig it! I’ve seen it about a few times- it makes sense, given the rivalry between Seadwellers/Landwellers, but also that Eridan is still highblooded. Also he’s prissy and pushy, which Equius would probably enjoy. Also they can both grump together as Feferi and Aradia run off and elope.

Wow! Well, this is fascinating…Especially since I’m coming up on my year anniversary as a Homestuck!
First, no- I didn’t start immediately- I thought about it after Manifest- a month or so after I first got into Homestuck. I loved Feferi, and at the time, Feferi was pretty underrated and kind of the butt of many fandom jokes and hate. I wanted to tell her side of the story! Still, I was working, though sporadically, so I had to make time. I updated a TON more then, haha…
I should note, at the time, I ran a small askblog for a Nabari no Ou character, Yoite. Unfortunately, asks kind of dried up for him, but it was the early stages of how I would do Feferi’s.
Ask Feferi blog. SHOULD I DO IT, Y’ALL?
I was nervous, because there was already a really cute Feferi blog, and I felt like such a bitch. But, I went through with it, because hey, why the hell not, and there are lots of askblogs for the same character, the more the merrier!
This was my first ask:
I originally drew her much leggier! And a bit scrawnier, too. I hadn’t developed the colored bubbles yet, her eyes were perfect circles with two eyelashes. Her horns weren’t gradiented, either.
Shortly after, I started blog-flirting with Aradia.
(This was around when I started drawing the Tiara that way.)
Drawing Feferi for the Prom event was what sort of solidified how I draw her now.
That said, several months ago I switched from using Photoshop exclusively to CLIP PAINT, which, is essentially a SAI for Macs, and allowed for much smoother line quality.
Lately, I’ve switched from doing single-panel gags, and lots of them, to one more ‘story’-like entry every week or two. I prefer this, since A) It allows me to practice paneling and pacing a story, and B) More bang for your buck! …if you guys paid me a buck.. you know what I mean.
I guess this means, I have drawn Feferi literally HUNDREDS OF TIMES, and eventually, you do get a knack for it… As for maturity… I find now that I certainly draw MUCH faster than I did. I look at older drawings of mine, and while they were certainly more detailed, they’re stiff, and perhaps over-rendered and dull. While my more recent drawings are simpler, they seem far more alive than my older work, just because I had to draw them quickly, before the wave of update art crested.
I’ve taken a lot of flack recently for drawing so much fanart- that I should be working on my own OCs and IPs and promoting myself and doing something with my degree and etc… But I find that doing HS art brings me a joy- and I have certainly PRODUCED more this year than I have in the past, even when I was in art college with assignments. No, it can’t be used in a portfolio, but all drawing is useful, since it’s practice. Some ways of drawing are more useful and informative than others, but it’s all useful.
So I think, in a way, it has? I have so, so far to go before I can remotely call myself good, but I am so honored and amazed at the response I’ve gotten through )(eiress, and so, so grateful!!

What a coincidence! I just finished my Ships page. I would be hardpressed to devote to any one OTP. But if I absolutely had to choose ONE pairing that I am most vocal and outspoken about- it’d definitely be FefEriSol, my OT3. Go team!
But honestly? I really will ship ANYTHING. Only two ships in my time in the fandom have made me ?!, but then I thought on it, and I could think of situations where it worked. So yes.
