KATSUCON 2012: AKA… WEEPSTUCK.
Or, how Lilly became known as That One Feferi that Cried Openly at the Saturday 3:14 Shoot.

OK! So I’m almost done posting my bajillions of cosplay photos… I thought I’d talk about the actual con a little beyond a silly “Thank You” drawing on )(eiress.

Suffice to say that I was full of a lot of FEELINGS??? this convention! First of all, it was the first time I had seen my American friends and SCAD kids and my babies in over a year. About a year and a half, actually. So I was near crushed/crushed others to death in my cuddles. So much screaming and jumping around.

Also, it was my first American con as a Homestuck! And while the sheer numbers of you were terrifying (hopy shit), I met so many wonderful, sweet people!! Truly, the absolute, uninhibited kindness people showed me, the wonderful things people gave to me, left me in complete awe and still makes me teary. Thank you for supporting me. I know it probably felt corny when I did my THANK YOU FOR APPRECIATING MY ART IT’S AN HONOR spiel but know I meant EVERY word and I only wish I could have hugged more of you.

NOW… About this picture. That’s Ginny at my feet there. With all of this intense FEELS?? going on as it is… This girl has been my friend for years and is my darling RP partner and friend. She made Eridan to go with my Feferi. NOW… She told me “WE HAVE TO GO TO THE MEET BECAUSE REASONS” and we went and god, there were so many people. I tried to convince her to leave, since we had to squeeze in a shoot. But NO. SHE INSISTED. NO LILLY WE HAVE TO STAY UNTIL FEFERI/ERIDAN IS ANNOUNCED and I was like THAT WILL TAKE HOURS LET’S JUST GO and she INSISTED. NO, LILLY I WILL GO TALK TO ALEX AND BUMP US UP and I was like UGH WE WILL RUIN THINGS NO and she was like IMMA DO IT ANYWAY, so when Alex called us up, she shooed me ahead…

And by the time I adjusted my horns/turned around… Here was my darling Eridan, my sweet Ginny, knelt at my feet with flowers, an Aquarius necklace, and Spongebob chocolates. Asking if I could be her v-valentine.

UM CUE WATERWORKS???

But at the same time I was like DAMMIT NO DON’T CRY OFF YOUR MAKEUP THIS TOOK FOREVER. So I just… Snortsnuffledwept and crushed her close and coated her in kisses.

She THEN proceeded to drag me to the Artist Alley, “because reasons” and I made a complete idiot of myself in front of Emi because ——-EM-OC—-EANS and she commissioned a beautiful wedding portrait of Feferi and Eridan and I JUST CAN’T OK.

I’m pretty sure this is a WONDERFUL picture to sum up the con because seriously half of it I had watery eye syndrome and just kept wailing, “YOU GUYS… BABIES…” and “NOOOOO” as I flailed and choked and cried lots.

The Draw Meet was incredible, SO much love to every human there, and I’ve got a cold and am dying slowly but dammit it was WORTH it because this CON was so amazing. Thank EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU who talked to me, sent me notes, even said hi! Thank you for making my comeback to America so much fun and SO sweet to me.

Now I don’t get to see anyone again for five months… Like… anybody… post-con-depression sucks as it is but wweh.

BUT ANYWAY THANK YOU. I really do cherish each of you who follow me, and I can’t wait to meet even more of you guys next con!
